The MACK Group, LLC Completes the Decontamination, Decommissioning and Interior Demolition of a 28,000sf Former Drug Manufacturing Facility


The MACK Group, LLC (MACK) Completes the Decontamination, Decommissioning and Interior Demolition of a 28,000sf Former Drug Manufacturing Facility Located in New Jersey.

The MACK Group, LLC, recently completed a project that consisted of the decontamination and decommissioning of former drug manufacturing facility. The owner wanted to decommission its outdated drug manufacturing facility and re-utilize the building for other purposes. In order to do this a complete decontamination, decommissioning of the former drug manufacturing process along with interior demolition was required.

The MACK Group, LLC (MACK) was contracted to decontaminate, decommission and demolish the outdated drug manufacturing facility. The facility was put under negative pressure full containment with HEPA filtered negative air machines and a attached personnel decontamination unit in order to not cross contaminate other clean areas. MACK workers utilized Tyvek suites and Full Face PAPR respirators during the entire decontamination process. To decontaminate surfaces, MACK used a combination of proprietary cleaning products and also machines that they own in their fleet of equipment. Upon completion various tests were done in order to ensure the area was clean.

The project was completed on schedule, under budget and without incident or injury.
