The MACK Group, LLC Completes the Asbestos Abatement and Removal at a Former Manufacturing Facility Located in Carteret New Jersey.

The MACK Group, LLC (MACK) recently completed a project that consisted of the asbestos abatement and removal at a former manufacturing facility located in Carteret,NJ.

The project consisted the proper asbestos abatement and removal of 50,000sf of asbestos floor tile and mastic, 4,600lf of asbestos pipe insulation, 2,600sf of asbestos fireproofing, 2,500sf of asbestos transite wall board, 1,000sf of asbestos roofing and 150sf of asbestos tank insulation. The owner needed this asbestos removed properly before a complete interior demolition could take place at the facility.

The MACK Group, LLC. utilized HEPA negative air filtration units, battery operated floor scraping machines, shot-blast machines, bobcats, aerial lifts, cranes, forklifts and twelve of there NJ licensed asbestos workers to bring in the project ahead of schedule and without injury.

The MACK Group, LLC (MACK) recently completed a project that consisted of the scraping/removal of 17,000sf of contaminated epoxy flooring. The owner needed this contaminated epoxy flooring removed and properly disposed of before they could demolish the outdated building.

The MACK Group, LLC. utilized one of their battery operated floor scrapers with specialized blades and a Hazwhopper trained operator to scrape/remove the contaminated epoxy floor which in some places was up to 5 inches thick.

The MACK Group, LLC, recently completed a project that consisted of the rigging/removal of four large stainless steel hyperbolic chambers associated with the demolition and renovation of two laboratories located in a pharmaceutical facility in New Jersey. The owner wanted to renovate the outdated laboratories.

The rigging project consisted of the four hyperbolic chambers and demolition of several block walls.

The MACK Group, LLC, recently completed a project that consisted of the asbestos abatement and rigging/removal of a large steam boiler and associated stack located in a pharmaceutical facility in New Jersey. The owner wanted to change out the outdated boiler for a new more efficient boiler. The time schedule to replace the boiler was very aggressive so The MACK Group proposed the rigging/removal of the entire boiler rather than the time consuming removal of cutting it up into small pieces.

The asbestos project consisted of the asbestos abatement of boiler breaching and pipe insulation and the rigging consisted of the boiler, stack, condenser and associated piping.

Asbestos Contaminated Boiler Room Cleanup Project Completed

The MACK Group, LLC Completes Asbestos Contaminated Boiler Room Cleanup

The MACK Group, LLC recently completed the remediation and cleanup of an asbestos contaminated boiler room in New Jersey. The MACK Group, LLC (MACK) was selected to perform the project based on their expert level of asbestos contractor services, their professional reputation, their attention to safety and schedule as well as their economical approach to asbestos removal services.

Prior to asbestos abatement activities, a 10 day notification was submitted which is a written notification in accordance with 40 CFR 61.145 to 61.155 and N.J.A.C. 7:26-2.12(d) and (e). In addition, the area was properly secured to prevent unauthorized entry and all necessary containment measures were installed.

The boiler room was located at a parking garage in Northern New Jersey and had various amounts of asbestos containing materials (ACM) including insulation and gaskets. Due to poor maintenance, the ACM had become friable and contaminated debris throughout the room. The MACK’s task was to carefully removal and abate all ACM in an expeditious manner. Proper wetting, removal and handling techniques were employed to safely remove the asbestos containing materials. Wetting of all friable ACM and bagging the ACM using poly-wrapping was conducted under negative air conditions.

The transportation of asbestos and ACM was in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:26-3.5(d) and by registered New Jersey solid waste vehicles. ACM was then properly disposed at a licensed landfill.

The project was a complete success as it was accomplished on schedule, without injury or incident and within the client’s budget.
