The MACK Group, LLC Completes Chemical Decontamination and Demolition Project

The MACK Group, LLC, a premier asbestos abatement, mold, lead, biological, chemical and demolition contractor recently completed the decontamination and demolition of chemical contaminated building systems and materials for a large private client in New Jersey.

Decontamination and demolition of the chemical contaminated building systems and materials included:

  • Preparation of work areas similar to an asbestos project, utilizing existing decontamination shower area and negative HEPA filtration
  • PPE to include full face supplied air hoods, Tyvek suits, gloves & boots.
  • Sealing of four (4) penthouses
  • Installation of HEPA negative air units
  • Removal of all suspended ceiling tile systems & sheetrock ceilings as contaminated waste
  • Removal of all MEP cut and capped from the 1st as contaminated waste
  • Removal of all Duct work from 2nd floor four (4) penthouse(s) as contaminated waste
  • Removal and disposal of system wall coverings as contaminated waste (1st floor)
  • Decontamination, demolition and of all mezzanines
  • Decontamination, demolition and disposal of all block walls
  • Decontamination, removal and disposal of floor coverings
  • The floor was then shot-blasted using a Blastrac machine
  • Removal and disposal of lockers, bath accessory items
  • Removal of identified doors and frames

The project was completed without incident or injury and was done in 8 weeks.
